BIOGRAPHY
Don A. Eilbott was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the fifth generation of his family to live there. At a young age, Don Eilbott began attending trials with his father. He attended Pine Bluff schools and graduated from the University of Arkansas with BSBA and JD degrees. While attending the University of Arkansas, he was active in his college fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and various campus organizations including Beta Gamma Sigma, an honorary business society.After graduation in 1974, as the youngest attorney in Arkansas at the time, he returned to Pine Bluff and began practice with Reinberger, Eilbott, Smith and Staten. He continued to practice in Pine Bluff until 2003. During that time, his varied practice took him to trials in over 60 counties in Arkansas, ranging from capital murder defense to insurance litigation.
In 1982 Eilbott and a group of associates founded Arkansas Title Insurance Company. It was and has remained the only Arkansas domiciled title insurance underwriter. He has handled all aspects of the representation of Arkansas Title from 1982 to current. In addition he has represented other title insurance underwriters in regards to claims in Arkansas and various other states.
In 2003, Eilbott joined Stewart Title as President and CEO of Stewart Title of Arkansas, CEO of Arkansas Title, and CEO of National Land Title Insurance Company, an underwriter doing business in 11 states.
Eilbott returned to private practice in 2007. He has continued his representation of various companies in the title insurance and real estate industries.
